Monthly Update our Christmas Present
This is my Christmas present this year, we received more pictures and an update of Steevenson today, see below for all the wonderful pictures.
Season’s greetings to you from all of us at GLA! We hope that you enjoy God’s blessings this holiday season with friends and family near and far.
Here at GLA the Christmas season is upon us, and we are enjoying the festivities that come this time of year. Both our main and toddler houses are decorated with lights and Christmas trees, and the children are enjoying all the pretty decorations. The main house children love to look at the pretty lights, and the kids at the toddler house are quick to point out the Christmas tree and stockings to anyone who comes to visit!
Christmas baking is another highlight of the holidays and lots of fun here. Some of our older children, with the help of the staff and volunteers, bake and decorate Christmas cookies for all the children and nannies at both of our houses. It was a wonderful day of baking and carols and fun… cookies were enjoyed by all!
On Christmas day your children will celebrate the holidays with stockings and gifts and special treats to eat. Christmas is a festive time, and your children are surrounded by all the love our staff and volunteers have to give!
This month the theme for your children’s photos is “Candy Cane Christmas.” Candy canes are a sweet and beautiful symbol of the holidays and a reminder of God’s love for us. There are various stories of how the candy cane was created to be a symbol of Jesus’ life on earth. Whether or not these stories are true, the truth remains that Jesus came down from heaven as a baby to walk among us. God’s own Son is our Savior and we celebrate the miracle of his birth at Christmas.
Steevenson is now doing a great job at sitting, as you can see in the pictures! He continues to be just such a happy, adorable baby and he is growing and getting stronger. Steevenson is a very active little boy and crawling all over in his nursery. Steevenson should probable move up to the next nursery, but since he is in the isolation room (no chickenpox), we are trying to avoid exposing any children who have not yet been exposed. Steevenson is doing very well and is very happy with life!
